We have only got one more week of home learning, which is the best news ever! I can not tell you how excited I am to get you all back into school. I will be very busy next week preparing the classroom and planning lots of fun activities for you.

In the meantime, we have two more zoom sessions, so I am looking forward to seeing your smiley faces then. For our Friday zoom session, you have the option to dress up as a character from a book for World book day. Please do not worry too much about this as it is only a bit of fun. Hello Beech Class, it was amazing to see you on the Zoom meetings this week and well done for completing week 2 of your home learning. I have had lots of examples of your work sent to me this week and once again the standard has been great. You have been carefully labelling a map of Egypt, and understanding more about poorly plants and the function of the roots. You have been writing stories set in Ancient Egypt and developing descriptive sentences. Thank you for the 'all about me' posters you have sent in for Miss Axtell-Powell- she will be very pleased with them. If you haven't completed one yet there is still time.

Next week we will Zoom at the same times:

Monday 2:30pm

Tuesday 10:30am

Miss Martin

Helllllllloooooooo Cherry Class!

I have been incredibly proud of the effort you have been putting into your home learning this week, and you should be too. The standard of your work has been fantastic. I am particularly enjoying your stories. I have been blown away with the quality of your sentences and the time your are taking to edit your writing. I was worried that you might rush through it, but you have proved me wrong.

And to top off the week...YOU WON THE TT ROCK STARS BATTLE! Well done.

Enjoy your weekend. Get plenty of rest and some fresh air if you can. (I have bought some running shoes and I am trying to jog a little on Sundays - so keep your eyes peeled and you might see me!)

I look forward to seeing what excellent work you produce next week.

Some of Cherry Class' Wonderful Work From This Week

Hello Maple Class,

Well done for completing week 1 of your home learning. I have received lots of examples of fantastic work and I am very pleased with the effort everyone is putting into their learning. Each week I will be choosing the best presented work to display on the class page.  Hopefully, this will encourage you to continue presenting your work beautifully.

Next week we will continue to learn about 'Ancient Egypt' and in science we will be finding out about different types of plants and how they grow.

I am really looking forward to seeing you all at our two Zoom sessions next week.

Have a lovely weekend!

Mrs Boyd

Hello Cherry Class!

Well done for surviving week one! I've been very impressed with the work so far, it has been hard to choose my favourite pics! I think I will try and pick work that shows a real effort in presentation because that is a strength of our wonderful class, and I want you to try hard to keep it up.

I can't wait to see you on Zoom!
