Milk and snacks
At morning break time children in the Early Years and Key Stage 1 are offered a piece of fruit. This is
free and provided by the Government fruit scheme. Children in Key Stage 2 may bring a piece of fruit
or healthy snack to school to eat during the morning break.
Milk is free to pupils in the Early Years. Parents of children in other year groups may purchase milk
from ‘Cool Milk’. All parents who want their children to have milk need to register on www.coolmilk.com
Children who are entitled to free school meals (not the universal offer) are also entitled to milk free of charge, their parents should let the school office know if they want their child to have it.
We encourage children to bring fresh water in a named water bottle to school each day so that they can
help themselves to a drink when they are thirsty. Fresh water is also available from water fountains in the school.
